Spring and Summer 4v4 League for Squirts & Peewees

Spring Sessions:

Sundays May 16 - June 27  (7 weeks)

Peewee 8:45 – 9:45 AM

Squirt    1:00 – 2:00 PM

$84 for all 7 skates

Summer Sessions:

Sundays July 11 - August 15  (6 weeks)

Peewee 8:45 – 9:45

Squirt    1:00 – 2:00

$72 for all 6 skates

The 4v4 league is “pond hockey” with a few simple rules. There is supervision, but no coaching and minimal instruction. Each player will be assigned to the White or Dark team and each player should come to the rink with a White and Dark (black or navy) jersey. The teams will be put together with parity in mind and adjustments can be made during the game.

Rules:

1. No-Check

1. The game is no-check
2. Some incidental body contact will occur, but calling a penalty will be at the discretion of the on-ice supervisor.
3. Any penalty would be served by the offending player going to the bench and missing that shift. A replacement player would fill in and play continues 4v4. If the penalty occurred at the end of a shift, the offending player may miss his/her next shift as well.

2. Offside will be enforced

1. When the attacking team is offside the puck will be surrendered to the defensive team and the attacking team will clear the offensive zone. Because of the casual nature of this skate, very close calls may be ignored.

3. Face-offs

1.  There is one face-off at the start of the game. After all goals or stops/saves by the goalie, the attacking team must clear the offensive zone and allow the defending team to play the puck.

4. Shifts

1. Shifts will be timed at 90 seconds with a buzzer signaling a change.
